> MRC > ADVISORY GROUP
October 28th Meeting Presentation
PURPOSE & ROLE
The Motor Resource Center (MRC) Advisory Group provides guidance and council for the activities and staff of the MRC. The primary role of the MRC Advisory Group is to help identify and steer the MRC toward the areas of greatest national need and opportunity, regarding motors, and motor-driven systems. Direction for specific programs and program areas will be provided by the organizations funding each area. The purpose of the Advisory Group is to provide a broad perspective across all program areas and to identify areas of unmet need. The Advisory Group will serve as a sounding board for the plans of the MRC and will point out potential areas of support for the activities of the Center. It comprises federal and state government agencies, organizations with an interest in energy efficiency and the environment, companies that use, sell and service motors, associations representing those companies, and universities with industrial energy or motors related programs.
